Center for Inquiry
Amherst, New York
Owner: Center For Inquiry
Architect: Hamilton Houston Lownie Architects
This addition augments the research, conference, and office space of the Center For Inquiry Transnational. It also adds approximately 2,000 square feet of basement space for library and archives expansion. Strategic use of skylights, clarestory construction, curtain wall windows and glass block flooring maximizes natural light. Exposed wood beam roof construction with the liberal use of glass provides a seamless transition to the natural environment and affords a clear view of the nearby SUNY at Buffalo Amherst Campus.
